“Islam is Evil” According to Bigots, “Blah Blah Blah!”

Hey, lets go and hate an entire religion because a few members are terrorists! What? You aren’t simpletons? You don’t think an entire religion should be blamed for the actions of this small group? That sounds like lefty talk to me. Are you sure you have not been brainwashed

Is that enough sarcasm?

On with the motley…and an explanation for my sarkiness.

And by ‘sarkiness’, I mean sarcasm. It has come to my notice that if someone is retarded both mentally and physically, they might not understand the concept of sarcasm that I am using here. You know the sort, overweight and divorced, their only friend recreational drugs. The kind of person who has to be taught the meaning of words because they confuse their arse with their face (easy mistake in this case what with them probably being the result of incest).

Just in case, I haven’t clarified this enough, I am being sarcastic in order to mock Islamophobes.

Anyhoo…

Recently Miss Amber Stables, at Guernsey’s Les Beaucamp High School, has set out an innocent piece of homework. See if you can spot any propaganda.

This is the homework:

“Task description

Miss. A Stables set this assignment for group Y8FOB/Rs – Religious Studies

Set on Thu 11 Feb

Due on Fri 04 Mar

Complete the letter you started or started planning in class to your family on how you are converting to Islam.

Include: How you’re feeling, how becoming a Muslim has changed your life, how much you love your family and hope they can accept your choice.

Focus: How would it make you feel having to tell your parents this?? How would/could they react?

**Please also note this is a piece of creative writing and completely fictional YOU ARE NOT ACTUALLY CONVERTING TO ISLAM. It is purely to test your knowledge of what we have learnt this year and how well you can argue objectively!!!!”

Now, can you see what is wrong with this? Can you see how this highly-biased propaganda letter might cause children to throw off the shackles of Western civilisation and bring jihad to the infidel? Can you see a young boy or girl finishing their homework and then setting about making bombs to bring down the white devils? Could I be any more sarcastic? How does this purely creative and pretend letter cause problems? It doesn’t unless you are small-minded or a bigot or a small-minded bigot.

Please note that while I use the word ‘mind’, that really doesn’t do justice to the festering peanut that these bigots have bouncing inside the vast caverns of their skulls. Of course, I should also say that not all these people opposing this homework are bigots, they are either stupid or they have been radicalised by the anti-Muslim lobby. Radicalism is only bad if a Muslim does it, every bigot knows that.

Even newspapers are getting a little of the bigot about them with headlines such as ‘Pupils Forced to Write Letter About Converting to Islam’ which is just sheer clickbait. I mean, come on! These kids are ‘forced’ in the same way that they are forced to learn about maths and Waterloo and the despicable conditions of the trenches in the First World War. These parents were never going to receive these letters and the only reason they are objecting is because the homework happens to involve Islam. If the letter had been about vegetarianism or turning into an unicorn, can you imagine how many letters of complaints the school would get? None, not a single letter. But when it comes to Islam, the big bad bogeyman has come out to play and wants to turn your kids into radicals. Better write them letters quickly lest your daughter starts wearing a hijab and asking you to pray to Mecca. Pfft! Yeah, right.

Despite the lack of Jihadi-inspiring words in the homework set out, some parents have complained about their kids being radicalised? Because being taught to hate Muslims is not radicalisation, is it? One parent even said that she wasn’t “narrow-minded” and another said that schools shouldn’t force religion on children. This coming from parents who don’t blink an eyelid when their kids learn about Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism or Sikhism. All religions which are just as bloody as Islam is supposed to be.

A statement from the Guernsey Education Department said:

“The Guernsey agreed syllabus for religious education includes a structured framework for ensuring that Christianity and the other five principal religions (Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam and Sikhism) are studied with sufficient depth and breadth throughout the four Key Stages.”

Fair play, right? Don’t be silly! Listen to what this next guy has to say…

Fahrenheit211 of a site bearing that name says that this is:

“…one of the most blatant and outrageous examples of a teacher force-feeding Islam to children that I’ve come across.”

Mr 211 says that this homework “is so pro-Islam that it almost beggars belief.” What? How is it pro-Islam? It doesn’t say that Islam is a good religion. In fact the homework doesn’t imply any emotion to Islam. Maybe the problem is because the teacher failed to add ‘evil’ as a prefix to the word ‘Muslim’? Hell, the teacher even mentions “objectivity”, something that Fahrenheit211 seems to have forgotten the meaning of. You should note that this person doesn’t have too much of a beef with Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism or Sikhism.

You should also note that Mr 211 does not have a problem with the Bible which involves just as much horridness as the Koran (and just as much beauty I should add) including a man sending his virgin daughters to be raped instead of a pair of crotchless and anusless angels (how would an angel be raped and why would you send your daughters to be raped instead?). Nope, as long as they are Muslim, all is fine on that account. Yes, sir! In fact, he loves it. Double standards is a common theme amongst people who claim that Islam is all evil. Of course, no religion is perfect but we are all blind to our individual faiths.

Would you be surprised to hear that 211 mentions Islamic rape gangs? Me neither. It is a piece of rhetoric that is brought out each time as if it somehow proves a point. It doesn’t. I am surprised that he doesn’t mention anything about the Prophet being a paedophile, which is also part of the bigot’s brainwashing techniques. These people forget that practically everyone in the days of the Prophet (and long after) married and had sex with people who are now deemed below the age of consent. It doesn’t make it right, of course, but this is just history. By the way, Vatican City, HQ of the Catholic faith, the age of consent there is 12. Not saying a word…

More Americans kill more Westerners than any Muslim every year but our friend wouldn’t have a problem with people being nationalised as Americans (as long as they aren’t Muslim, right, 211 *WINK*). But when it comes to a small group of terrorists (small compared to the vast number of Muslims who don’t go about slaughtering people), oh no, panties in a twist time! Won’t someone think of the children?!?

I should add that America is a great place and I am not at all saying it is a bad place. I love America. Them Buck Eyes should do well this year, right?

211 goes on to say:

“Cases like this emphasise the need for parents to be extremely watchful about what schools are teaching with regards to Islam. Islam-appeasing teachers such as Miss Stables are pushing a view of Islam that is completely divorced from reality. Imagine how it must feel for a parent of a daughter to find that she is being asked to write positively about joining a religion where women are not just second class citizens, but where they are considered as the property of men.”

He has a small point here, the aspects of Islam he mentions do exist. But this isn’t the whole story. There are many (and the number increases every year) of Muslims who don’t act like their women are property. But I suspect our bigoted friend would simply sweep that underneath the rug and pretend to be deaf.

“This task is so obviously pro-Islam that it makes me wonder just what other Islam-friendly guff is being forced down the throats of the children in her ‘care’?”

Pro-Islam? This homework could not be any more neutral if it tried.

Anyway, I am bored with the rantings of what seems to be a small-mind. Shall we move on? Lets!

This story first appeared on the Guernsey Press website and people had some things to say, you betcha they did.

John West wrote:

“I think it’s good for children to be taught about other religions, but this letter was bound to cause controversy due to the nature of talking about conversion, particularly in light of young people being radicalised in the West.

“It’s a very emotive topic and really not a particularly clever move by the school/education.”

Another reader called Vivica wrote:

“Does this really matter? It’s a thought experiment… If you’re worried about your kid being influenced by it maybe you just need to do a better job as a parent!”

Let me take a quick look at Twitter for unbiased comments…

@canofwormstwo: Will she order Muslim pupils to eat pork?

Yeah, thanks. Scratch the Twitter idea, too many illiterate bigots. Ye gods!

So, yeah, that is it. I think I have made my point clear, such as it is.

  2. Many years ago, a teacher threw a blackboard duster at me in a rage [it happened a lot!]. “Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, Rutherford,” he growled. “Yes sir,” said I, “but its funny.”

I’ve always liked sarcasm! Great post.
