Untitled Poem

Snows and fires,
Mountains and floods,
Islands and typhoons,
All by the rivers of the doldrums.

Archipelagos and families,
Forests and pestilences,
Lagoons and poverty,
All kept dark by the texture of debt and society.

Beholders and monsters,
Thieves and hypocrites,
Actors and madmen,
All alone with the sounds of painters and bankers.

Psychics and angels,
Eccentrics and devils,
Lepers and mendicants,
All avoided by the tones of lotus-eaters and vagrants.

Pirates and mermaids,
Dreamers and decadents,
Athletes and invalids,
All bloodied by the colour scents of echoed shapes.
